Christmas Suite Number One is a great tour-de-force rendition of five Christmas favorites. The songs are Lo, How a Rose E’re Blooming; Deck The Halls, Silent Night, Ihr Kinderlein Kommet, and ending with Joy to the World. The first trumpet part gets very high, and switching to Piccolo trumpet at a couple of key spots might be called for. At seven and a half minutes in length, it is a fine collection to play while parishioners are being seated prior to a service.
