In 1965 I was enamored of the sound of pipe organs, but didn’t know much about them.

Gordon Young was at Interlochen for the summer, and he liked this early fugue of mine enough to offer to do some editing and to send it on to one of his publishers. Now permanently out of print, it was the first piece of original music I had published (by the Concordia company).
