Hail Thee, O Glorious is a rescoring of the Aria Study Number One for Piccolo Trumpet in A and organ accompaniment. Its subtitle is Solemn Processional, and it is a brilliant, stately entrance piece for any sort of procession.

 

There is three-way counterpoint between the solo line, the organ swell, and the pedals, augmented by left-hand “fill” on the organ great.
