Impression of Three Notes

My late 1960’s were spent working on my masters at DePauw University; “experimentalism” was the compositional “style-de-jour” - something I found interesting but not particularly attractive. Nonetheless, I wrote this little three-movement piece for five percussionists for my friend Rick Kress (a fellow-student at DePauw). At some point in 1983 while I was on the faculty of Brenau College (shortly before going off for my doctorate at the University of South Carolina) I revised the work so I could include it in my support material for admission.

Impressions of Three Notes is in manuscript, and sells for $30.00 for the hard copy, $20 for the pdfs of scans.
