March for Marty for unaccompanied bass clarinet is a long blow. The music is not particularly difficult, and it’s a fun tune, but the performer doesn’t get much of a break. Martin Walker was a heck of a bass clarinet back in college when I wrote this for him.

 

It’s a fun opener for a recital, and a nice contest piece as well.
