The Miniature Suite for Unaccompanied Bass Clarinet is a long blow. The music is a suite of four short movements, each showing off the expressive aspects of this “not always prominent” instrument. I wrote it for my friend, Ed Greene, in our days at DePauw University

 

It’s a fun filler for a recital, and a nice contest piece as well.
