One Big Bad-A** Bigband Opener

 

One Big Bad-A** Bigband Opener is a three-horn version of one of my big band charts.  It’s super-fast (lots faster than the mp3 takes it).   As with most of the Rudy Volkmann Sextet Book charts, it’s a “head chart:” play the head, assign solos, return to the head to end.

 

Scored (as nearly all the sextets are) for Bb Trumpet, Alto Sax, Trombone, and rhythm section.
