Trio for Organ in G started life as just that - a three-voice piece I wrote especially for a friend at DePauw University (Muriel Lindamood) who had been an organist but had damaged her left hand so that she couldn’t really play any more. The right hand and pedals are busy, while the left hand plays a very slow-moving melody.
I scored it for brass quintet where it seems to work just fine as well.
The mp3 performance is from my CD “Savannah River Brassworks,” available on my “recordings” page (link).
Trio for Organ in G (scored for brass quintet) is unpublished and available for $18.00 for the hard copy and $15.00 for pdf’s.
