Reflections for Oboe and Bb Clarinet

 

I wrote Reflections back during my doctoral study days at the University of South Carolina for two of my classmates, who performed it in a student recital. As the name implies, there is much back-and-forth of thematic material as the two instruments switch top-and-bottom positions.

 

It’s just a fun little concert piece in two short movements.

I have no live recording of this piece, so the mp3 is a FINALE extraction - the sound isn’t particularly satisfying but it certainly gives you a good idea of how the piece goes.
