Triumphant Recessional is a rescoring of the Aria Study Number Four for organ accompaniment. It is a stately piece in a style that used to be known as a military “riding march,” appropriate for horses in formation trotting.
There is three-way counterpoint between the solo line, the organ swell, and the pedals, augmented by left-hand “fill” on the organ great.
As the title implies, it works nicely as a recessional in a church service, or is a good concert piece for the developing trumpet student.
Triumphant Recessional sells for $8.00 for a hard copy and $5.00 for a pdf.
